Praxis Automation Technology delivered 100th Monitoring & Control system for VDL AEC Maritime Exhaust Gas Cleaning System

Praxis Automation Technology and VDL AEC Maritime have designed a Monitoring & Control system for the VDL AEC Maritime Exhaust Gas Cleaning System, also known as exhaust gas ‘scrubber’. 

By combining strengths, knowledge and years of experience the two companies have developed a state-of-the-art solution which in the meantime has been installed in 100 vessels.

A monitoring and control system for an exhaust gas scrubber is subject to vibrations and high temperatures and therefore has to be robust. For this reason, VDL AEC Maritime selected the Praxis hardware and software design which meets the required quality. The system is connected to the cloud based Shipview network via a secure communication line, enabling remote monitoring and mid-life software updates ensuring world-wide service. VDL AEC Maritime and their customers will further benefit from this using the Praxis Fleet Management System.
